US prescription peptides: data for reporters

HHS published its peptide policy in the Federal Register on October 30, 2026. It lets US 503A pharmacies compound 6 peptides for a named patient with a prescription. We checked 250 US sellers of those peptides against public evidence. The data is free to use with credit.

What we found

  • 11 US-facing sellers have no prescription check. 10 sell the peptides as “research use only” and 2 take card payment before any medical question. See the list and sources.
  • We re-checked their home pages on October 30, 2026, the day the policy was published. All 10 sellers with research-use wording still list covered peptides with that wording.
  • Of the 174 ranked pharmacies and clinics, 4 have a pharmacy licence we could confirm on a state board website. A low score means missing proof, not wrongdoing.
  • On October 30, 2026 we searched the whole site of the 12 clinics whose pharmacy was unknown. 10 name no pharmacy anywhere public.
  • 65 more sellers were checked but not ranked. Each has the reason on its page. See the full list.

About the data

  • The CSV has one row per seller: our checks, the result, the detail and the source page for each.
  • We use public pages, state pharmacy boards, the NPI registry and FDA warning letters. We stopped before payment and did not buy.
  • How we score: methodology. The policy: Federal Register 2026-22192, docket HHS-OASH-2026-0496.

  • Sellers can send evidence and we will re-check. Right of reply.
