1. What we collect and why

Account and authentication data

If you create an account, we collect your email address. We use it only to send you a one-time magic-link sign-in code via Resend. We store your email in our database so you can sign in again. You opt in voluntarily when you register.

Reviews and ratings

If you submit a review, we store your rating, review text, and (if logged in) a display name linked to your account. Reviews are public. Anonymous reviews are accepted; we do not require an account to submit one.

Analytics data

With your consent, we collect page views, click events, and basic device/browser information using Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics 4, and PostHog. This data is aggregated and anonymised. We do not build personal profiles. Analytics are off by default — you must accept analytics cookies in the consent banner to activate them.

Outbound click tracking

When you click a link to a retailer we track:

• Which retailer you clicked
• Which product (if applicable)
• A one-way hashed, peppered version of your IP address (we cannot reverse it to an IP)
• Your browser’s User-Agent string
• HTTP referrer

We do not link clicks to user accounts or email addresses, even when you are signed in.

Data we do not collect

• No payment data.We are a price-comparison service. All purchases happen on the retailer’s own website. We never see card numbers, billing addresses, or transaction records.
• No raw IP addresses. IPs are used only for rate-limiting (magic-link issuance) and are immediately hashed before storage. We cannot recover a raw IP from our database.
• No health or dosage information. We do not ask for or infer medical details.

2. Third-party processors

We share data with the following processors to operate the service. All are bound by their own privacy programmes.

We do not sell data to any third party.

3. Cookies

You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clicking “Cookie preferences” in the site footer.

4. Affiliate links and FTC disclosure

PeptidePrice earns commissions when you click a retailer link and make a purchase. This is how we fund the service. Affiliate relationships are disclosed on retailer pages. The price data we display is not influenced by affiliate relationships — we show all indexed retailers regardless of whether an affiliate agreement exists.

Supplier links may include a referral parameter. The retailer’s server will see that you arrived from peptidescanner.co.

5. International users — GDPR and CCPA

EEA / UK residents (GDPR): Our lawful basis for processing your email address is contract performance (providing sign-in). Analytics are processed on the basis of consent. Click-tracking logs are processed on the basis of legitimate interests (service analytics); they are anonymised at collection and cannot be linked back to you. You have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data — see Section 6.

California residents (CCPA): We do not sell personal information. You have the right to know what data we hold about you and to request deletion. Contact us at the address in Section 8.

6. Your rights

You can:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about your account.
• Request deletionof your account and associated data. Email us (Section 8) with “Delete my account” in the subject line. We will complete deletion within 30 days.
• Opt out of analytics at any time via the cookie-consent banner in the footer.
• Withdraw magic-link access by simply not using the sign-in flow. If you have an account, request deletion.

7. Age restriction

PeptidePrice is intended for researchers and adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Contact, effective date, and changes

Changes: If we make material changes to this policy, we will post the updated version at /privacy and update the effective date. For significant changes affecting how we use personal data, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
