What the test measures

Each test answers three questions about your vial. Is it the compound on the label? How pure is it? How much is in it?

The lab uses two methods. HPLC splits the sample into its parts: that gives purity and the amount. Mass spec weighs the molecules: that confirms what the compound is.

Pictures from a sample report, in the lab's own layout. The numbers are an example.

  1. HPLC chromatogram from a sample report: one tall peak and a few small ones.

    Purity, by HPLC

HPLC (high-performance liquid chromatography) pushes the sample through a column. Each substance comes out at its own time and draws a peak. The tall peak is the compound. Purity is its share of all the peaks.

Why it matters: at 80% purity, a fifth of the vial is something else.

  2. Mass spectrum from a sample report, with peaks at 710.4 and 1419.7.

    Identity, by mass spec

Mass spectrometry weighs the molecules. The lab compares the masses it finds with the known mass of the compound on the label. If they match, the report says ID Confirmed.

Why it matters: a vial can be pure and still hold the wrong compound. HPLC alone cannot tell.

  3. Results table from a sample report: purity 99.1%, 10.1 mg in the vial, 101.0% of the 10 mg label.

    Amount in the vial (weight)

The lab runs a known amount of the same compound, a reference standard, and compares the peaks. That gives the milligrams in your vial. Here: 10.1 mg against 10 mg on the label, 101%.

Why it matters: a vial can be 99% pure and hold half the dose on the label.

  4. Top of a sample Krause Analytical report with Your Company Name on it, and the lab director's signature block.

Your company name, private to you

Krause Analytical issues the report in your company name, and the lab director signs it. It goes only to you.

We publish it only if you ask us to.

Questions

Is $99 really the cheapest private test?

Yes, of the 12 labs we checked on 1 November 2026. $99 is the lowest published price for a test whose result stays private. One lab charges $69, but its result is public, and its private option costs $168. Free tests are public too. The full list, with a source for each price, is in our guide at peptidescanner.co/guides/cheap-peptide-testing/.

What does each test cover?

One product, one compound: identity, purity and the amount in the vial, by HPLC and mass spec. Blends cost $20 more per extra compound.

Does the report give the amount in mg?

Yes. The lab measures it by HPLC against a reference standard of the same compound, using its own calibration. The report gives mg per vial and the percentage of the label claim, with the limit of quantification. A result outside the calibration range is marked OC.

Which peptides can you test?

About 40 common research peptides, and blends of them. The full list is on our lab test terms page. If yours is not there, ask us before you order. If the lab cannot test it, you get a full refund.

Can I test several products in one order?

Yes, up to 50 products, one test each. For 2 or more, contact us to get a quote with a discount: send the product names and your phone number, and we reply within 24 hours.

Which lab does the testing?

Krause Analytical in Austin, Texas. It has been open since 2016.

Is the lab ISO 17025 accredited?

No. Krause Analytical is not ISO 17025 accredited. Neither is Janoshik, the lab sellers use most.

Is the report under the lab's name? Can buyers verify it?

Yes. It is Krause Analytical's own report, unchanged. If you ask us to publish it, buyers can open the PDF from your page in our archive.

Where do I send the vials, and how many?

One sealed, unopened vial per test, labelled with the compound and amount. After you order, we email you the lab address and the form. Your only other cost is your own postage to Austin, Texas, and the shipping risk is yours.

How long does it take? Will I know when the vials arrive?

Usually about 2 to 3 weeks, counted from the day the lab gets your vial. This is an estimate, not a promise. We tell you when the vials arrive.

How do I pay?

For one $99 test: by card or crypto (USDT on Tron), when you order and before you send the vial. For 2 or more tests we agree the price and how to pay with you first. Work starts when the payment arrives.

Is the result published?

Private by default. We publish only if you ask us to. Only you get the report.

What if the lab cannot test my compound?

The lab needs a reference standard. If it has none, we tell you before testing and refund you in full.

Can I get an invoice?

Yes. Email info@peptidescanner.co with your company name and address.
